Minus18 is Australia’s charity improving the lives of LGBTQIA+ young people. They create safe, inclusive spaces for LGBTQIA+ young people through life-affirming events, education and training, digital resources, and national LGBTQIA+ awareness and advocacy campaigns (such as IDAHOBIT).

Minus18's work is grounded in health promotion and harm prevention, through reducing social isolation, strengthening belonging, and supporting young people to thrive.

Every young person deserves to feel that their story matters

Unfortunately, 2 in 3 LGBTQIA+ young people still experience discrimination and harassment simply because of who they are.

Minus18 creates safe and affirming youth led programs and online peer to peer drop in spaces where LGBTQIA+ young people can meet others like themselves, celebrate their identities and experience the powerful feeling of belonging.

Every LGBTQIA+ young person deserves the freedom to imagine their future and write their own story, surrounded by people who believe that story matters.
